When I received the inquiry from Amy telling me she was needing personal brand photos for non-profit called The Well Initiative, my interest immediately peeked. I attend a church on Friday nights that is very organic and almost house-church like. The name of it? You guessed it. The Well! Once I visited her website, my heart was incredibly stirred! Amy’s greatest passion is to mobilize the faith community to solve the world’s biggest challenges, from human trafficking to global poverty and women’s empowerment. After meeting her, she has the heart and experience to fulfill that calling. Ministry is near and dear to my heart. As I drive to a photo shoot, I pray for the client and the session. My prayer for Amy is that God will use her personal branding photos to bring Him glory. Through the images, I pray Jesus will be seen in her. I pray that when people look at her webpage they are drawn to her loving and humble spirit as I am. It’s a blessing to me to be a small part in advancing the kingdom. Personal branding photos for a non-profit founder is more than just pictures!
While once marginalized, she becomes a leader who changes the trajectory of history.
This story teaches us about God’s heart. Just as He provides practical needs in addition to spiritual truth, our mission as the church must be to equip and mobilize others to care for the least of these.
“The Well Initiative” seeks to do both. Rooted in the power of prayer and the work of those in practice, it seeks to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while also meeting the practical needs of those who need hope and encouragement the most. We invite you to join us on this journey as we seek to change one life at a time for the sake of the Gospel.
As requests for speaking engagements roll in, Amy needs a combination of headshots and lifestyle images. To this end, we opted to shoot at Highland Village Shopping Center in Dallas. The shoot was originally scheduled for Friday, but then rain, wind, and cold appeared in the forecast so we moved the shoot up a day, and enjoyed a balmy 70 degree photoshoot! It was fun to walk around the shopping center amidst the hustle and bustle of workmen decorating for Christmas and get to know one another. Amy chose three outfits, two were professional and one was casual. They all looked beautiful with her hair color and skin tone. The minimalistic creams help keep the viewer’s focus on her face in the images. I hope you enjoy the inspiration and you can learn more about Amy in this article!
So, if you aren’t quite sure what to plan for an outdoor shoot when the weather can be unpredictable, here are a few ideas:
