Texas Chef Brand Photos

Boy do I ever get excited when I get to take Texas chef brand photos! Who doesn’t love to photograph food? When I first talked with Eileen Kesner, I was super pumped to travel to her home and take lifestyle photos of her for her website and upcoming cookbook! Eileen is a Texas-based  author and self-taught chef with a passion for spreading the joy of creativity to others. Born and raised in the south, Eileen’s style is heavily influenced by southern culture, but her love of traveling has opened both her studio and her kitchen to a wide variety of worldly inspiration. You’ll find a little bit of everything in her work, with recipes designed to encourage loved ones to gather around the table to share a meal and linger over good conversation.

The shoot started out on a day when the forecast for Dallas was severe weather, including strong wind, hail, and tornados. However, since the shoot was scheduled to be at Eileens’s home, we were able to continue on, even though skies were very overcast. I typically am a natural light photographer, but definitely have my off camera lights for shoots when I know it will be overcast and dark! Thankfully, we were able to start the session outside with just a few sprinkles! After the outdoor images, we moved indoors to her kitchen, living room, and dining room for the remainder of the session. We also snuck in a few shots with her dogs and husband too! Branding shoot and Christmas cards done! Check!

Eileen displayed a gorgeous charcuterie board, and then we also used fresh fruits and veggies in the shoot. We had a little fun with the avocados (keep scrolling!) Then, we took some pictures of her setting a table and arranging a centerpiece. What a fun time! I can’t wait till her cookbook comes out!
