A Little Background on Paige

Paige is a senior at Wylie Preparatory Academy where she has attended since 5th grade! Not only is she a member of the National Honor Society, but she is also the President! As president, she has led the group in service projects and speaks at events such as the Veteran’s Day celebration, most recently. She’s played volleyball at Wylie Prep, and had the privilege of having her mom coach her some of the time! She has past experience in competitive cheer as well.

As she prepares for the next step after graduation, she will either attend Texas A&M University or Columbia University in New York. She’s actually visited New York several times, and loves it! I don’t know if she loves it as much as Disney World though! 🙂 She plans on pursuing an undergrad degree in psychology and then pursue the pre-med route to help young people as a doctor of psychiatry. I love to pray for my clients at the end of their sessions, and as we prayed, I felt the Lord is going to use Paige in ways she could never have thought possible. 1 Corinthian 2:9 reminds us:

But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Trinity Grove/Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge Dallas Photo Shoot

Even though we are about 45 minutes out from downtown Dallas, it is so worth the drive to the Trinity Groves area for the epic Dallas skyline! To top it off, there was a slightly cloudy sky, so no harsh sunlight in her eyes! With brief periods of sun shining through, we were able to capture that “glow” that every photographer loves! Honestly, my clients know that I actually get giddy when I see the golden “glow” shining on their hair!

We walked around the area to capture a variety of poses. Here are some ways we can change things up:

  1. Start with the subject walking slowly – that way the camera is far away and not so intimidating!
  2. Female subjects can twirl in their dress.
  3. Sitting is the universally flattering pose!
  4. Using props like a graduation hat, give the hands something to do.
  5. Change up the hands often – twirl the ends of hair, hold elbow, “soft” fingers”
  6. Vary expressions from closed lip to looking off camera to fake laughing out loud at absolutely nothing!
