Although weather and the elements were ideal for Kalli’s shoot, clients often are concerned about shooting outdoors. We often have to work with the wind, the clouds, and sometimes even a mist. But, have no fear! I have all sorts of tricks up my sleeves to still make you look your best!
Sometimes you want a little urban, mixed with a little nature! We racked our brains to try to find a place where we could incorporate both on Kalli’s photo session. As a Dallas photographer, I have photographed almost everywhere around the metroplex over the past 15 years, and yet the same place can look entirely different depending on the time and season! For this shoot, we finally opted for the Dallas Arts District, and it did not disappoint! Urban? Check! Nature? Check! Just LOOK at that gorgeous fall foliage!
For Kalli’s session we took pictures in her flowered dress and used a brown hat similar to something she showed me on her pinterest board. She used her letter jacket and cap and gown for props, along with the natural elements (throwing leaves like confetti!). Even though the school we shot the cap and gown photos in front of wasn’t her school, the classic red brick had “little red school house” written all over it! We also captured casual, seasonal photos in her jeans, autumn sweater, and statement necklace.
I sure enjoyed Kalli’s company! She is a kind hearted and sweet girl with a bright future ahead! Kalli is a beautiful young lady and when I think of her 1 Peter 3:4 comes to mind:
