Zoe came seeking updated branding photos because she didn’t want her audience to feel like her outdated photos was where her business currently was. She is positioning herself as a customer marketing leader attracting a forward-leaning, technology company for her her next career move. She wanted the photos in her personal brand shoot to be a visual representation of who she was. In her own words,” I want to appear modern. I tend to appear conservative and want to show my energy and adaptability. One of my motto’s is: simple sophistication.”
Actually, I hear that sentiment often. If someone tells you that you have so much more personality than what they thought based on your picture on your website, it’s definitely time for some updated personal branding images!
When you have a goal in mind, it’s easy to work backwards! Zoe knew upfront that she would be using her images for:
Zoe sent me not one, but three sample vision boards so I could get an idea of what kind of branding images she was attracted to. *Big Secret* That is one of the very best things you can do! Show your photographer what you desire! It won’t be exactly the same, but it will be a great place to start!
Again, because Zoe had done her research and we talked on a strategy call, she knew what to bring!
Zoe worked with Roxanne, a personal stylist in Dallas, to pick exactly the right outfits for her body type. She ended up with very classy, sophisticated and timeless pieces. It cracked me up that her test results were that she leaned towards classic (think Jackie O), with a touch of bohemian influence! She’s definitely classy with a little flair!
Before the shoot at the Lumen Room in Plano, Zoe checked out the studio to see exactly what furniture pieces she liked. Letting me know that ahead of time gave us a plan and ensured we didn’t waste any time! She was drawn to a green chair, a white desk and a blue couch. Since we knew that going into it, she went shopping for some pillows in her brand colors to personalize the photos and warm them up!
After our time there, we drove up the road to Watter’s Creek shopping center in Allen. The atmosphere there provided a great backdrop for fun, lifestyle images. If you like photos in shopping areas, this post has several branding images taken in an Uptown Dallas shopping area.
Enjoy Zoe’s photos and let me know if you like the studio pictures or outdoor pictures better!
