It’s not common to spend all your elementary through high school education in one place. However, Jordan, class of 2021 senior, has! Starting first grade at Wylie Preparatory Academy, (because they didn’t have kindergarten when she began), she has made it through to her senior year! Jordan has two colleges she is looking into – Baylor and Dallas Baptist University!
Some of her hobbies include playing basketball, interning at church, reading and visiting coffee shops! She also told me that she loves Pinecove Camp and even served at Camp Barnabus, a unique ministry providing Christian camping experiences to individuals with special needs and chronic illnesses, along with their siblings. Their goal is to show others the love of Christ in every aspect of our ministry. I just love Jordan’s heart for Jesus!
Jordan has a call of God on her life and wants to purse studies in religion or ministry. She reminds me of the prophet Isaiah when he answered the call of God on his life in Isaiah 6:8: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” As Christ followers, we have a mission to make more and better disciples. That is not limited to a certain age. In every season of life, the Lord uses those who are willing. Jordan, I know God is using you as you follow him!
This time of year, when the weather is cooling down, is very popular for photographers. Jordan’s shoot was away from the hustle and bustle. Believe it or not, I’m right on the line between extravert and introvert, so having a low key shoot with no one around was really fun and relaxing! We chose a back road with little traffic. Everything was great until the fisherman parked his truck right behind us! 🙂 Thankfully, I have some tricks up my sleeves (body blocking) to hide unsightly things in the background! We captured a variety of images from her wearing her college shirts, to a couple of different tops, a jean jacket, and a cap and gown. Jordan was quite a sport throughout the shoot! She trampled through tall grass, side stepped horse poop, let me pose her with some wild flowers I pulled, and probably got bug bites! Hopefully it was worth it with all the images we captured!
