Rockwall and Mesquite PRC
Last year I had the honor of volunteering as a client coordinator at the Rockwall Pregnancy Resource Center. Along with the Mesquite location, the PRC, a nonprofit, which has been in operation for 20 years now, is a beacon of hope in the community. The director contacted me because they were ready to retire their logo and spice up their website with some brand refresh photos. I jumped at the opportunity, but mostly because I selfishly wanted to spend some time again with the loving people I used to volunteer with! I don’t say that lightly, either. Full of Christ’s compassion, the women who work and volunteer there love and serve without judgment. Caringly, they work tirelessly each day to carry on the the mission. I can’t wait to see what their new website will look like! Oh, want to know a little secret? Tim Tebow is going to be the guest speaker at their annual fundraising event on October 22nd! So cool! Here’s a little more about the PRC:

The Pregnancy Resource Center offers all these services for FREE:
- Pregnancy Tests
- Sonograms (must meet medical criteria)
- Confidential Counseling
- Factual Information on Pregnancy, Abortion & Alternatives
- Pregnancy/Parenting Education
- Material Support
- Post Abortion Support
PRC History
In 1998 a group of visionaries recognized a need for a pregnancy center in the Lake Ray Hubbard area. That dream became a reality when the Rockwall location opened its doors in October 2000. In January 2008, the Pregnancy Resource Center was able to open a second location in Mesquite. The PRC is primarily staffed by volunteers that give freely of their time. Because of the generosity of donors, they are able to provide all of their services free of charge.
PRC Mission
Their mission is to equip women and their families with unplanned pregnancies to make life affirming and informed choices by using biblically based principles and to demonstrate the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.
PRC Photo Shoot Details
I started at the Mesquite location and took headshots in the waiting room. The soft blue wall with natural light flowing in made it ideal! From there I took photos around the office. Capturing some “posed” client/volunteer interaction is always fun! The “actors” were a real client and a real volunteer. They just pretended they were doing their normal thing and I wasn’t there! We then went to take some pictures in the sonogram room. Because it didn’t have any natural light, I used off camera flash to brighten it up. After that, I headed over to the Rockwall office and took some interior and client/volunteer shots there as well. You can also see how branding photography includes details like this second image. I think the PRC will love their updated look!
