Not once, not twice, but three times! It’s not typical, but Logan’s senior session had to be rescheduled three times! Boy, were we glad when everything aligned and we finally got to take the pictures! The first time we were suppose to take his photos, I came down with the flu and couldn’t even get out of bed! Then, the day we rescheduled, it rained! Then, we scheduled for the following week, and he won a basketball game (yay!) which meant we needed to move the session one more time! 🙂 We did, and although it was a little chilly, we got to move indoors after the first part!
We started Logan’s senior session in downtown Rockwall. It was in the the 30’s with the wind chill, so we tried to keep moving! We walked around the square to get a variety of images. Mom bought a sprinkled doughnut for him. We took some in a casual outfit, and some with his letter jacket. Some of my favorites were with him carrying around a gallon jug of water! Logan is great at staying hydrated – in fact I see him walking around the school campus with his gallon of water every day! When we were almost done outdoors, we hopped into our cars. Unfortunately, their car wouldn’t start because the back door was left ajar, so thankfully we got it jumped in a matter of minutes!
Our next destination was just a few minutes down the street to an indoor basketball court at their church, First Baptist Rockwall. As I pulled out of downtown, it took me a hot minute to realize that I was going the wrong way on a one way street! Ehhh! Thankfully, I turned around quick! This church was meaningful to the family. Not only do they attend there, but Logan and his friends often go up to the gym to shoot some hoops. To say basketball is his life, is an understatement. His dad was his coach. Mom was statistician. His brother plays. Sister watches. It’s definitely a family affair! #20, graduating in 2020! So, shooting in a place that held so many memories was almost sacred. The series of photos of him taking off his shoes for the last time and walking down the court tells a lifelong story.
In the near future, Logan is about to embark on his class senior trip to New York City! Logan literally just chose the college he is going to attend last week! He decided on the University of Mary Hardin Baylor! He plans on majoring in business. It sounds like an incredible school, especially since the dorm rooms are apparently like a nice hotel! Logan has a great future ahead of him! Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in Logan, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus!” Congratulations, Logan! Go with God!
