Sometimes timing is Just. Exactly. Right! It was for us at the very beginning of Daniel’s Texas fall senior session yesterday. We arrived at our destination and pulled over to the side of the road just as a train was passing. That train just added to the landscape and portraits so beautifully! It was a great way to start the chilly morning photo shoot off!
Daniel, a senior at Wylie Preparatory Academy, has been attending there since the 8th grade when he moved from Highland Park in Dallas to the North Dallas suburb. For his session, he planned a few personal touches such as his white Jeep, his playful dog Jones, a cap and gown, and his ski helmet (which included ski goggles and was super cool). We couldn’t bring Colorado’s snow to the shoot, but were still able to show off his love for snow skiing!
This Texas fall senior session ended up being quite eventful between the huge horse manure and the vulgar word I almost accidentally photographed under the bridge! (Note to self: in the future read all graffiti before just glancing at the artistic elements of it!) It made for some funny moments, though, that’s for sure!
After graduation in 2020, Daniel plans to do a gap year at The Link in beautiful Branson, Missouri. He has gone to camp at Kanuka in previous summers and has taken World View classes there. I’m a huge fan of gap years and have heard wonderful things about this one. Daniel, I’m praying John 15:66 over you: “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Enjoy the rest of your senior year!
