Our paths crossed four years ago when she decided to take a photography class elective at school and I happened to be the teacher. Our class was super small so we got to spend a lot of time together that year! Not only did I enjoy her as an 8th grader, she also had quite the eye for pictures! This high school senior portraits session came in the blink of an eye.
When Regan was planning props and outfits for her high school senior portrait session, I asked what her passions were, where she planned to got to college, etc. I found out that she wants to be a nurse. Lo, and behold, she actually had a stethoscope and blood pressure kit that her grandma, who was a nurse, used! We incorporated the props in the photos tying in the past and the future! I love it when props have such intense meaning!
We decided to start the photo session at Breckinridge Park in Richardson. With an adventurous spirit, Regan waded in the creek and was okay with getting her dress wet! So, with the antique suitcases, a textured blanket, a flowered headpiece and the medical props, we captured quite a variety out in nature. From there, we drove to a building close by that had a more modern, urban feel. Steel walls and a casual staircase made great backdrops for a little more variety.
Regan’s beautiful smile, and even more beautiful heart shine in these images! She has grown up to be quite a mighty woman of God. She’s gifted in academics, has been a cheerleader, has a great sense of style, and is a wonderful role model for the younger girls coming up behind her. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, Regan. I truly enjoyed this high school senior portrait session with you. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He shine his face upon you, may he be gracious to you. May he lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
