Yes we got lots of crazy looks while Heidi’s dad and boyfriend unloaded the heavy piano off the back of a trailer! They placed it in an empty field in the middle of our busy city on a 100 degree evening in North Texas! We quickly prayed no snakes or chiggers would harm us and then began the adventurous session! I’m happy to tell you we came out totally unscathed and Heidi’s makeup didn’t even melt!
Heidi knew what she wanted for her senior portrait session weeks before the big day arrived. Her inspirational Pinterest board guided our choices.
However, things did not go entirely as we had planned! Well, actually nothing went as planned, but in the end her senior session turned out better than we could have ever imagined!
Within 48 hours of the shoot we changed locations, changed times, she changed her clothing choices, got her nails redone AND they had to get a different piano off Marketplace! The legs came off the original one! Additionally, three hours before the shoot, I noticed that the field had been mowed!
How would we find another field in time? Thankfully, Heidi’s family drove around town, as did I, and we came up with something even better! It all worked out and my job never gets boring!
Heidi is exceptionally gifted at playing the piano and has several lucky students who she teaches weekly. She plans on going to Texas A&M after her 2020 graduation from Wylie Prep! It was a pleasure to hang out with her and her family for a little while!
