What’s better than a husband and wife business team?
How about a husband/wife team with their dog Tucker?! It was so good to see Courtney (and Tucker) again for her second personal branding photo shoot and meet her husband Stephen this time! (You may remember Tucker eating cookies in this session!)
For this session, we used the University of North Texas, Courtney’s alma mater, as the backdrop! Although it is a beautiful campus and we had incredible weather after a week of rain and storms, there are always things that we have to work around in a session. In this one, it was some construction (think bright orange fencing!) and lots of graduates getting portraits taken in the popular spots and good lighting!
As we walked around campus, Courtney told me stories and memories of her time there. She remembers waiting for the bus with her hands full of huge art supplies she had to carry to class, the albino squirrel, and the day she accidentally locked away her keys and phone.
Taking photos at a place that has so much meaning and memories personalizes the photos more than you know. It becomes much more than a photo – but jogs memories. I actually have some pictures of me from childhood and I wonder if I remember the moment or just remember the photograph?!
Since Stephen and Courtney work together in the photography business, we incorporated shots of them together for this session. As photographers themselves, it’s always a great experience to be in front of the lens so we can remember how our clients feel! Courtney and I are both Kaitlyn James Business Course 2019 students, and are familiar with KJ’s posing techniques, so posing with them was quite simple!
If you are anywhere near Fort Worth and need wedding or senior photos, check out Courtney’s website or find her on Instagram!
