One thing I’m not afraid of is asking for permission to photograph in a new location. On a cold day in November I was scouting a location for a session, and noticed a beautiful white farmhouse being built. The side of it had the perfect light for that time of day and there was someone in the driveway so I parked my car and asked if he was the owner of the house. He was an electrician, but introduced me to the home builder, Terry Williams, of Elle Laine Homes. Terry was so friendly, and not only let me shoot on the side of his home, but also gave me a tour as it was being built! In addition, he introduced me to his daughter, Lauren, who happened to be there.

As I chatted with Lauren, her bubbly personality was contagious! Excited to connect with her more, we talked about working on a personal brand photo shoot project for her online and storefront boutique, Elle Lain. Here are some of the images from this fun session in McKinney, TX!

You can tell Lauren is a boutique owner! She came with multiple outfits, handbags, jewelry (by @kellierodesdesigns) and shoes! She is a pro at changing fast as she models for her store and new the secrets – such as wearing a cami under sweaters for a quick change and changing in the car!

We were excited to have the shoot documented by the amazing David Galligan, of Galligan Media! He is such a professional and certainly made me feel at ease as I did the interview portion, and trust me, I’m not a pro IN FRONT of the camera!
